an attractive arrangement including Spanish lessons and salsa
lessons. In a few weeks you will improve your Spanish substantially and you
will be master of the dance floor! Proyecto Peru works together with a
professional Salsa school. This salsa school is also a social project
which gives underprivileged youth in Cusco the opportunity to build a future

Salsa lessons
Proyecto Peru works together with a professional Salsa school that aims to help under-privileged youth in Cusco in a creative way. The founders of this salsa school have a passion for salsa and want to share their skills with young people who share this passion but lack the resources to explore it. Their students come from less fortunate families with little to no financial stability and opportunity for bettering their future. The salsa school gives these young adults free education and the opportunity to work in the Salsa Academy.
Spanish and salsa
Proyecto Peru offers you the possibility to combine your Spanish and Salsa lessons. A unique way to immerse you in the Latin American culture. Imagine going back to your country and going to a local salsa club, speaking Spanish to the people and showing your moves on the dance floor… now it is possible in Cusco!
In our Spanish and Salsa program, you will get 20 hours of Spanish in a small group. From Monday till Friday, you will get 4 hours of Spanish per day. You will get 5 salsa lessons of 1 hour each. The salsa lesson will be in a group. The salsa school will always try to find a group of your level of salsa. In the case that there is no group of the same level at that moment, you will get 3 private Salsa lessons instead. With a one week course you will surely get the basics of salsa. Free activities
Proyecto Peru organizes free weekly activities for all the students, volunteers and interns. The activities are fun and you will get to know the other students. These are some of the activities that are included in our Spanish programs:
Welcome Dinner
Enjoy a meal with other students and staff of the Spanish school in a Peruvian restaurant.
Latin American Movie
Proyecto Peru offers this activity in order to develop your
listening and understanding of Spanish.
Typical Peruvian Cooking Class
Cooking classes take place at the school. We show you how to prepare a typical Peruvian dish.
Peruvian Cocktail Class
When you are in Peru, you must drink the typical cocktail of Peru: the
delicious Pisco Sour. We will show you how to make it. And, just as
important, you will get a good taste of it!
Salsa lesson
We organize the salsa lesson in the school. This is an introduction class from a professional teacher. You will learn the basics and have a lot of fun doing it! Book our Spanish and Salsa offer if you want to learn to dance salsa really well.
Book Exchange
We have “El rincón del libro” where you can find a wide variety of English and Spanish books as well other languages. You can exchange your book for another one.
Free Internet
We have free Wi-Fi internet access available in the school for all our
students.
